- Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – LTAC RN / long-term acute care nurse role
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN
- Start Date: March 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts/week, 36 hours/week) — Day shift RN
- Number of Openings: 2
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,710 - $1,800 per week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid to practice in Georgia; compact RN license accepted where applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
- Minimum of 1 year of bedside clinical experience required (2 years highly desired)
- Previous LTAC, acute care, or step-down experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
Responsibilities – LTAC RN / Travel Nurse Duties
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Accurately and promptly document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning beginning at admission
- Communicate changes in patient status to the care team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety
- Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees as needed
- Promote a safe clinical environment by adhering to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
- Contribute positively to team building and a supportive work environment
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain LTAC clinical competency
