Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care Nurse
• Location: Fort Thomas, KY 41075 (Northern Kentucky; close to Cincinnati, OH)
• Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Facility
• Shifts: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (every other weekend required)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 16, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1770/week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of bedside clinical experience required (2 years preferred)
• ICU / Critical Care experience highly desired — LTAC and critical care nursing skills a plus
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to identify teaching needs and long-term care goals
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission to support smooth transitions of care
• Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity, safety, and quality outcomes
• Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate in an LTAC setting
• Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to advance clinical skills
