• Location: Springfield, Ohio (zip 45504) — travel RN opportunity in Ohio CVICU
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 20, 2026)
• Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) — 8-bed CVICU within a 30-bed ICU
• Shift: 12-hour nights (every other weekend and every other holiday)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract RN
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 per week

Required Qualifications (CVICU RN / Travel Nurse)

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or cardiac ICU RN experience (required)
• Current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients (required)
• Experience managing Swan-Ganz (pulmonary artery) catheters (required)
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record charting (required)
• BLS required (must obtain prior to direct patient care)
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• Ability to pass EKG interpretation exam
• Experience with Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for critically ill cardiovascular surgical patients, including fresh post-op CABG and TAVR cases
• Manage advanced lines, drains, and devices: Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT
• Perform ventilator management and titration of vasoactive and critical drips
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Serve as a point of contact for patient care coordination across departments and interdisciplinary teams
• Advocate for patient safety and actively participate in unit quality improvement initiatives
• Educate and support patients and families coping with critical cardiac illness and post-op recovery
• Accurately document all care in EPIC EHR and maintain clear clinical communication
