- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week (Night Shift NICU RN)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2580-$2720/week
- Technology: Epic EMR (experience with Epic preferred)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience (NICU, neonatal care, or Maternal Child Health preferred)
- Associate of Applied Science in Nursing or higher; BSN preferred for neonatal nursing roles
- Current NYS RN license (New York nursing license required)
- BLS certification required upon hire
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire
- Physical ability to perform patient care duties, including light lifting and extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred (experience with electronic charting and documentation)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonates and infants in the NICU within the Maternal Child Health department as a NICU nurse / neonatal RN
- Collaborate with unit leadership and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care
- Perform observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs—physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual
- Follow nursing standards and best practices from relevant professional organizations (AWHONN, ACOG, NNA, AORN)
- Document care and interventions accurately using Epic EMR and maintain clear, timely charting
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families; provide family-centered care and education
