- Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
- Unit: Heart & Vascular Unit (HVU) – 48 beds (PCU / Step-down / Cardiac Telemetry)
- Start Date: June 8, 2026
- End Date: September 5, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Patient Ratios: Days 1:3, Nights 1:4-5 (depending on acuity)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 per week
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent PCU, step-down, or cardiac telemetry nursing experience
- Active New Hampshire RN License OR Compact RN License (proof of state residency required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac, surgical, and step-down critical care
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac drips, and post-op cardiac care preferred
Responsibilities – Progressive Care / Cardiac Nursing
- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac, thoracic, and vascular patients in a step-down/PCU setting
- Monitor telemetry and perform hemodynamic/invasive BP monitoring via arterial lines
- Manage chest tubes, central lines, tracheostomies/laryngectomies, and complex wound care
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications (e.g., diltiazem, heparin, furosemide, insulin, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, milrinone/primacor, dobutamine, dopamine)
- Care for patients with temporary pacers, epicardial wires, and TR bands
- Utilize BiPAP/CPAP and manage low-dose pressors and inotropes as needed
- Deliver post-surgical care including management of lines/tubes/drains and routine blood draws
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, surgery, respiratory therapy, case management) to optimize patient outcomes
