Job Details

• Setting: Hospital MRI Unit — Diagnostic imaging, clinical MRI services
• Equipment: GE Discovery 450, 1.5T MRI
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (3/16/2026 – 6/15/2026)
• Dress Code: All black scrubs
• EMR: Meditech preferred

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center
• ARRT certification in MRI (primary keyword: ARRT MRI)
• Valid BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Comfortable working nights and weekends; flexible and dependable
• Strong critical thinking, ability to work independently, and effective communication skills
• EMR experience required; Meditech experience preferred

Preferred

• ACLS certification is a plus
• Previous travel MRI tech experience or contract assignments in Florida or similar hospitals

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists and clinicians
• Operate and troubleshoot the GE Discovery 450 1.5T MRI system
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio as required for certain procedures and patient safety
• Ensure patient comfort, safety screening (MRI safety protocols), and proper positioning
• Accurately document procedures, patient history, and imaging data in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other imaging technologists to support clinical care
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and MRI safety standards
