• Role: Neuromusculoskeletal Med-Surg Float Registered Nurse (RN), Float Pool / Float RN
• Setting: Neuromusculoskeletal Med-Surg Unit (Med-Surg / Telemetry)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Contract Travel RN
• Start Date: March 16, 2026
• End Date: June 13, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
• Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours available
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (Days / Evenings / Nights), including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS) — required for Rochester, NY travel nurse assignments
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg nursing experience; float pool experience a plus
• Telemetry experience required — successful telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and effective interdisciplinary communication

Key Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care to neuromusculoskeletal and med-surg patients, including telemetry monitoring
• Float between med-surg and specialty units as needed to support patient care demands as a float RN
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Assume expanded roles as needed, including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee participation
• Demonstrate service excellence, professional development, and adherence to hospital standards and protocols
• Document patient care accurately and maintain clinical compliance under the direction of the Nurse Manager

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130-$2250/week
