- Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (3 East / PCU Unit)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (Night Shift Travel RN)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2040–$2140
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown RN experience (critical care or stepdown experience preferred; travel RN experience a plus)
- Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications
- Completed skills checklist matching PCU/Stepdown specialty
- Up-to-date resume documenting relevant Progressive Care/Stepdown experience
- NURSYS report with all active RN licenses
- EMR experience with Cerner preferred (EMR / charting experience helpful)
- Ability and willingness to float to other units or nearby facilities as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the PCU/Stepdown unit as a Progressive Care Registered Nurse
- Monitor and assess patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions common to stepdown care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the EMR (Cerner experience preferred)
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate interventions, including escalation to critical care when necessary
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning support, and continuity of care
- Float to other units or nearby facilities as required to support staffing needs
