Job Details – Echocardiography Technologist / Ultrasound Technician

- Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer / Echocardiography Technologist / Ultrasound Tech (RDCS or RCS)
- Setting: Hospital – Noninvasive Cardiology (cardiac ultrasound / echocardiography)
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (W2 travel sonographer position)
- Start Date: April 5, 2026
- End Date: July 4, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1730–$1860/week
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed minimum 20 hrs/week)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts; weekend coverage Saturday and Sunday 7:00am – 5:30pm (flexible, 16–20 hours/week)
- Employment Type: W2
Job Requirements – Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS)
- Minimum 2 years of current experience as a registered echocardiography/cardiac sonographer (cardiac ultrasound experience required)
- Completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program with a focus in echocardiography
- Completion of a recognized course in arrhythmia detection
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification required
- CPR certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
- Proven ability to perform high-quality, complete echocardiogram studies (TTE image acquisition, Doppler assessment)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong patient interaction and customer service for hospital patients
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accurate documentation for medical records
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Demonstrated technical skills and clinical judgment to function unsupervised in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities – Cardiac Ultrasound / Echocardiography
- Perform high-quality echocardiogram studies (cardiac ultrasound) in a hospital-based noninvasive cardiology unit
- Acquire diagnostic images and perform Doppler assessments, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to departmental protocols
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and clinical decision support
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and electronic medical record (EMR) entries in accordance with hospital policies
- Provide excellent patient education, comfort, and interpersonal communication with patients and staff
- Manage time efficiently to meet clinical demands and ensure smooth workflow during high-volume periods
