- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980–$2080/week
ER RN Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) or Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- Valid multi-state (compact) or Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NIHSS certification required
- Epic EMR experience (preferred for Tulsa hospital systems)
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills for high-acuity patients
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced emergency care environment
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills using correct medical terminology
- ENPC and TNCC certifications are a plus (Emergency Nursing Pediatric/Trauma Nurse Core Course)
ER RN Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients using the nursing process
- Manage high-acuity and trauma patients, stabilize patients, and participate in resuscitations when needed
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans within established ER/ED guidelines
- Deliver culturally competent, patient-centered care across all age groups
- Prioritize and coordinate nursing interventions for a diverse emergency patient population
- Use clinical judgment to recognize and respond to changing patient conditions
- Document all aspects of care accurately and concisely in Epic or facility EMR
- Provide patient and family education, facilitate discharge planning, and coordinate follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement, unit-based education, and mandatory in-service training
