• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Rotating Days/Evenings/Nights; weekends and holidays as needed
• Hours per Week: 36 (3 x 12-hour shifts)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,110–$2,220/week

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in palliative care, hospice, or acute med/surg settings
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Strong IV therapy and wound care skills
• Experience managing patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) pumps; CHPN (Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse) highly desired
• Excellent assessment, clinical judgment, and patient advocacy skills for caring for patients with complex symptoms

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered palliative and end-of-life care for adult patients
• Provide intensive symptom management, pain control, and comfort-focused interventions
• Administer medications safely, including management of PCA devices and titration per orders
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other med/surg nursing tasks for overflow patients as needed
• Conduct thorough assessments and advocate for patients who have limited ability to communicate
• Support and educate families and caregivers during crisis and bereavement-sensitive situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, social work, chaplaincy, PT/OT) to coordinate holistic care plans
