- Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (Ann Arbor healthcare / Michigan nursing jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,870 - $3,020 per week
- Role: CVOR Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) – Travel Nurse
- Schedule: Day/Evening rotating shifts required
- Shift Options:
- Combination of 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts (06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30 and 06:30-18:30 / 10:30-22:30)
- Option for 5x8-hour shifts (06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule (no call shift longer than 12 hours)
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with complex, high-acuity cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases
Job Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience in high-acuity cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel CVOR RN / travel nursing jobs experience)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; CNOR preferred
- Scrub experience with demonstrated proficiency level of 3 or 4
- Experience with procedures such as CABG, heart/lung transplant, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repair, and advanced thoracic/vascular cases
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Two manager/supervisor references required
Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care as a CVOR Registered Nurse for adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical patients
- Circulate and scrub on complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, including CABG, transplants, ECMO, and aortic repairs
- Participate in a flexible call program with no call shift longer than 12 hours
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes and support surgical flow
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, universal protocol, and perioperative safety standards
- Document perioperative care accurately and efficiently in accordance with hospital policies and electronic medical records
- Support a positive team environment and contribute to the unit's flexible scheduling culture
