Job Requirements

• Active RN license (meets state of practice requirements)
• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and mother/baby care
• Current ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications (neonatal resuscitation experience)
• Experience circulating or scrubbing for C-sections; NICU or pediatrics experience preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment and meet performance expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers, deliveries, and postpartum patients (obstetric and mother/baby nursing)
• Circulate and assist during vaginal deliveries and C-sections; support sterile technique when scrubbing
• Monitor maternal and newborn status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate per unit protocols
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatric/NICU teams, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, patient safety, and compliance with facility standards
• Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
