• Setting: Neurology Progressive/Stepdown Unit (PCU / Stepdown)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract — Travel Nurse (PCU RN)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: May 26, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights — 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
• EMR: Epic (Epic EMR experience required)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York (required)
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Neuro-Progressive, Stepdown, or ICU settings (PCU RN, Stepdown nurse, neuro nurse)
• Proficient with Epic EMR for documentation and charting
• Completion of a Neuro-Progressive competency exam upon offer
• Ability to work night shift schedules and thrive in a fast-paced progressive care environment
• Strong neurological assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
• Navy blue scrubs required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neurology Progressive/Stepdown unit (PCU RN duties)
• Perform thorough neurological assessments and continuous patient monitoring
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, NPs, therapists, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and hospital protocols
• Accurately document patient care, assessments, and updates in Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
