- Location: Canton, GA 30115 (Cherokee County)
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital – inpatient occupational therapy
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 27, 2026)
- Shift: 8-hour days, Monday–Friday (8:30am – 5:00pm, schedule may vary)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract OT (travel occupational therapist / travel OT)
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,720–$1,850 per week
Job Requirements – Licensed Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care / inpatient hospital setting
- Active Georgia OT license (licensed occupational therapist in GA)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience with OneChart (Cerner) preferred
- Clinical experience supporting a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, stroke/neurological, orthopedics, and general debility
- Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- No local candidates within 50 miles (candidates should be able/willing to relocate for the assignment)
Responsibilities – Acute Care Occupational Therapist
- Provide occupational therapy services to acute care patients throughout the hospital per physician orders
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients with diverse medical and surgical needs
- Manage inpatient caseload including ICU, stroke, neurological, orthopedic, and medically complex patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, PT, SLP, physicians, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the electronic health record (OneChart / Cerner preferred)
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home programs, adaptive equipment, and discharge planning
