- Position: Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab / Gastroenterology Nurse
- Location: Canton, Georgia (30115) — Canton, GA; Atlanta-area travel nurse opportunity
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (Travel Assignment)
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- End Date: June 27, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Shift: 8-hour days, 5 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1690–$1780/week
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Endoscopy / GI Lab RN experience (endoscopy nurse, GI nurse)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be valid for assignment)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Must be able to fulfill full 13-week travel assignment
- No local candidates within 50 miles of Canton, GA (30115)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in the GI Lab (EGD, colonoscopy and related procedures)
- Perform pre-procedure assessment and preparation, including patient education and informed consent review
- Monitor patient status during procedures, including sedation monitoring and airway/hemodynamic assessment
- Provide post-procedure recovery care, discharge teaching, and post-op monitoring
- Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, specimen handling, and procedural interventions
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions and complications
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Adhere to infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols; assist with scope handling and reprocessing workflows as required
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient GI Lab operations
