• Location: Berlin, Vermont 05602 — Vermont nursing jobs / travel nurse opportunity
• Setting: Med-Surg with Telemetry (Acute Care)
• Contract Duration: 4 weeks (Start: March 9, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
• Documentation System: Epic EMR (required)
• Floating: May be required to float to like units
• Parking: Free onsite parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250-$2370/week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 5 years of Med-Surg Telemetry experience OR 3 years of Telemetry experience is required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR previous experience at any UVMHN acute care facility)
• Experience with Epic EMR within the past 2 years (required)
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS certification required prior to start; Telemetry certification preferred, but required for nurses working with telemetry
• Ability to interpret and respond to telemetry strips
• Peripheral IV placement skills preferred
• Reliable transportation required; a personal vehicle or rental vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in Berlin, VT.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult patients with a variety of acute medical and surgical conditions as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
• Apply, interpret, and respond to telemetry monitoring and telemetry strips
• Perform NG tube insertion, peripheral IV insertion, and other bedside procedures as indicated
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, LNAs, and ancillary staff
• Float to similar units as needed and support unit staffing needs
• Participate in a supportive, team-oriented environment—working closely with patients, families, and caregivers
• Adhere to professional dress code and hospital policies
