• Setting: Medical Oncology & Benign Hematology (17 East and West) – Oncology RN / Med-Surg Telemetry
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Assignment)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 27, 2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) – Night Shift RN
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,940–$2,040/week
• Orientation: 1 week dayshift, followed by 36 hours on-unit with a preceptor
• Self-scheduling: Enter your preferred schedule requests (flexible scheduling for travel nurses)
• Floating: Required to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (at least 1 year of current specialty experience required)
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at submission) – must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing
• Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• BLS certification required
• Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills (Tele RN experience required)
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• ONS chemotherapy certification preferred (chemotherapy administration experience a plus)
• Must provide two professional references (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of solid tumor cancers, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to telemetry alerts
• Administer blood products and chemotherapy when certified; follow oncology safe?practice and chemo administration protocols
• Access and manage ports, perform tracheostomy care, start and maintain IVs, and draw blood from central lines
• Implement infection prevention protocols, fall prevention strategies, and safety-focused patient care plans
• Coordinate care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, case management, and physicians
• Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed to support patient care and staffing
• Document timely and accurate patient care using EPIC electronic medical records
• Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to variable weekend and holiday coverage based on unit needs
