• Setting: High Acuity Stepdown Unit (SDU) – critical care / telemetry environment
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed Hours: 36)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200 per week

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification — required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience — required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred (ADN/BSN)
• Critical care certification such as CCRN preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, systematic patient assessments across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric) in a high-acuity SDU/stepdown setting
• Deliver direct patient care and apply advanced critical care nursing skills for ICU and stepdown patients
• Monitor and manage telemetry, hemodynamic data, and complex post-operative patients
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and education in the electronic health record
• Promote patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals, proper transfer techniques, and unit protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including the perioperative team, physicians, respiratory therapy, and case management to prioritize patient care
• Individualize care plans for surgical and medical patients, including pre- and post-operative assessments and patient/family education
• Support completion and review of pre-admission testing and plan appropriate care based on testing results
• Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality patient and family-centered care
