We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (NICU RN / neonatal nurse) for a 13-week travel assignment in a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin. Job Details

• Location: Madison, WI 53792 — Madison, Wisconsin travel nurse opportunity
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm); Monday–Friday with 2–3 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: 26-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level IV NICU)
• Orientation: Approximately 1 week (24 hours)
• Parking: Permit required; alternative transportation options available

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020-$2130

Job Requirements (NICU RN / Travel RN)

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years recent NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU
• Previous travel RN / travel nurse experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Epic charting experience preferred (within the last 12 months)
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation and telemetry experience (must pass telemetry test prior to start)
• Ability to float to all units, including PICU, for patients under 12 months
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

NICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver expert, compassionate care to critically ill neonates and infants in a Level IV NICU (neonatal intensive care)
• Manage post-operative neonatal patients, G-tubes, trach/vent care, and multiple modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures including UAC/UVC management, phototherapy, and whole-body cooling
• Interpret and manage telemetry and arrhythmias; participate in required testing and maintain ongoing competency
• Provide family-centered care, patient education, and emotional support throughout admission to discharge
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and pediatric specialists
• Float as needed to other pediatric units within the hospital, including the PICU
