• Location: Geneva, NY 14456 — Finger Lakes, New York nursing job
• Assignment Length: 14 weeks (March 30, 2026 – July 4, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Shift: 3x12-hour rotating day/night shifts (variable as scheduled), every other weekend, holidays, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit (Med/Surg RN, Med Surg Nursing)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-site
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,960 - $2,070 per week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (NYS RN licensure required)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Registered Nurse experience (Med/Surg RN preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Responsibilities (Med/Surg RN Duties)

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with diverse medical conditions
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct clinical care, monitor patient progress, and revise care plans as appropriate
• Administer medications and perform clinical interventions according to facility protocols
• Educate patients and families on self-care, discharge planning, and lifestyle modifications
• Document patient care and responses accurately and in a timely manner (electronic charting experience preferred)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
• Adhere to infection prevention strategies, patient safety policies, and regulatory standards
