• Job Title: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN) / Behavioral Health Nurse
• Setting: Behavioral Health / Inpatient Mental Health
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Holiday & Weekend Requirements: Every other holiday & weekend required
• Employment Type: Local, W2
• Hourly Pay Rate: $77.19
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860-$1960

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (PA)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience (inpatient preferred)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled

Preferred Qualifications (Helpful)

• Experience with crisis intervention, safety planning, and behavioral interventions
• PMHN, CPN, or other psychiatric nursing certification
• Previous work in Lehigh Valley or Allentown healthcare settings

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adults/adolescents in an inpatient behavioral health unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized mental health care plans
• Administer psychotropic and PRN medications, monitor patient responses, and document effects
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, therapists) for comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
• Support patients and families through education, discharge planning, and crisis intervention
