• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) / Travel Nurse
• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506 (Morgantown, West Virginia nursing jobs)
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Neuro Stepdown & EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) – telemetry/stepdown unit
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel assignment (13-week contract)
• Start Date: March 5, 2026
• End Date: June 4, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00am – 7:30pm
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2020 - $2130 per week
• Employment Type: Travel / On-site

Required Qualifications (Cardiac Stepdown RN / Travel Nurse)

• Active RN license (willing to wait for state licensure if needed) — travel nurse licensure assistance considered
• Minimum 1 year recent stepdown, neuro stepdown, or cardiac stepdown RN experience required
• BLS Certification required
• NIHSS Certification required
• EPIC electronic charting experience required (EPIC/EMR)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Strong neuro experience preferred; telemetry and critical care nursing skills a plus
• Must be able to titrate drips per physician order (vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, analgesics)
• Valid driver’s license required; must have home address outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Primary Responsibilities (Cardiac & Neuro Stepdown RN)

• Provide direct patient care to higher-acuity neuroscience and cardiac stepdown patients (acute care nursing)
• Monitor and manage patients with strokes, seizures, craniotomies, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac events
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret rhythm changes; respond appropriately to cardiac and neurologic events
• Administer and titrate medications as ordered, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists (RT), and nurse aides
• Document care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records (EPIC documentation)
• Float to similar units as needed (7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W) — flexible team player for hospital RN roles
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Adhere to facility policies and dress code (Royal Blue scrubs)
