Job Details — Travel IR RN in Columbus, OH
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus healthcare, Ohio nursing jobs)
- Position Type: Travel Nurse — Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)
- Setting: Interventional Radiology Unit, outpatient and inpatient procedures
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: 2 shifts of call during contract
- Weekend Coverage: Every other or every third weekend as needed
- Floating: May be required
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Unit Details: 8 procedure rooms, daily census ~30, multidisciplinary IR team
- Compensation: $2,280–$2,400/week estimated weekly pay (competitive travel nurse pay; details provided during recruiting)
IR RN Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license (compact or state license in hand at time of submission) — must be eligible to work in Ohio
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology RN experience (IR nurse experience required)
- Experience with EPIC electronic charting system preferred
- Strong skills in vascular access, line management, patient monitoring, and dysrhythmia recognition
- Ability to float as needed and participate in call coverage
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
Interventional Radiology Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures (IR procedures)
- Assist with and perform vascular access, IVC filter placement/removal, embolization, TIPS, UFE, fistulagrams, PCN, PTC, drain management, and venous reconstruction
- Circulate and scrub for procedures as needed; support procedural sterility and patient safety
- Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias, manage lines, drains, ports, and hemodynamic changes
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologic technologists, and advanced practice providers in a multidisciplinary IR team
- Document patient assessments, procedural details, and post-procedural care accurately in EPIC or the facility charting system
- Participate in scheduled call coverage and weekend shifts; maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Contribute to a culture of safety, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement in the interventional radiology unit
