- Job Title: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Neonatal ICU Nurse / Travel RN
- Location: Jackson, TN 38301 (Jackson, Tennessee) — travel nursing assignment
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Setting: Level 3/4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level III/IV NICU)
- Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend/Holiday: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; must be willing to work July 3rd or 4th
- EMR: Recent Epic EMR experience required (within last 12 months)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$2010 per week
Required Qualifications — Neonatal Nurse
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU (neonatal critical care experience required)
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a current compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- Certifications required at submission: AHA BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and STABLE
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (must be detailed on profile)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no flu exemptions accepted)
- Must pass a competency exam for Epic (one attempt only)
- Ability to float to other units as needed; must pass fit testing requirements
Key Responsibilities — NICU RN / Neonatal ICU Nurse
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in a Level 3/4 NICU setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Epic EMR (electronic charting)
- Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and specialized neonatal therapies
- Perform and assist with procedures such as tube placement, phototherapy, and respiratory support (Bubble CPAP, HFNC, high-frequency ventilation)
- Support and educate families on neonatal care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning — strong family-centered care skills preferred
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services to optimize neonatal outcomes
- Maintain strict infection control and isolation precautions in line with hospital policy
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled; flexible travel nursing availability required
