- Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN) – Travel Nurse

- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15), 3 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Med/Surg 6T (5200-1104) — adult & geriatric medical-surgical unit
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Float: May float to similar Med/Surg or Telemetry units within scope
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460-$1540/week
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (medical-surgical or acute care)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse experience)
- Valid Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be current at time of submission)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system / Epic EMR required
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry, wound care, IV management, and post-procedure care
- Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy acute care setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions in Epic EMR accurately and timely
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform phlebotomy as needed
- Deliver wound care, manage feeding tubes, and care for surgical drains and chest tubes
- Respond to rapid response and code situations as part of the clinical team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Float to similar Med/Surg or Telemetry units within your scope when required
- Follow infection control policies and isolation precautions to maintain patient safety
