Job Details

• Location: Cape Coral, FL 33990 (Southwest Florida)
• Setting: Family Birth Suites – OB-Maternal Level 2, Nursery Level 1 (24-bed unit)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: 13-week contract (through 6/27/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1990-$2100
• Call Requirement: 12 hours per month; participate in on-call rotation
• Floating: Required; may float to sister campuses
• EMR: Epic (Epic EMR experience highly relevant for L&D nurses)
• Ideal Candidate: L&D RN, Labor & Delivery Nurse, LDRP nurse experienced in maternal/newborn care and emergency response

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license (travel RN license requirements apply)
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Degree from an accredited nursing program or 5 years of clinical nursing experience
• Ability to float as needed to other units or sister campuses
• Must live at least 50 miles from facility (radius rule for travel assignments)
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to integrate into unit culture

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum settings (L&D, LDRP)
• Monitor and assess mothers and newborns, ensuring safety and comfort throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality obstetric and neonatal care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic EMR and follow unit protocols
• Respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies and perform required interventions as needed
• Float to other units or sister campuses as required by staffing needs
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation and support unit coverage
