Job Requirements

• Active and unencumbered RN license (TX or eligible for compact licensure)
• At least 1 year recent experience in a Cath Lab, cardiac catheterization, or similar acute care setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for cardiac and interventional procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills — professional, flexible, and team-oriented
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
• Familiarity with Philips cath lab equipment and Meditech EMR preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures such as PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) and other cath lab interventions
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and respond to emergencies promptly
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and procedural details accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other areas as needed within the RN scope of practice
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant cath lab environment in accordance with hospital policies

Preferred Certifications & Skills

• BLS required; ACLS and specialty certifications (e.g., Cath Lab certification) are a plus
• Previous travel nurse experience and adaptability to new clinical environments
• Proven ability to work effectively in high-acuity cardiac settings
