Join a dynamic team at a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional peri-procedural care in our GI/Bronchoscopy Procedures Clinic. This is an excellent travel nursing job for RNs with GI endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and PACU recovery experience.

- Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (Mon–Fri, 06:30–15:00, rotating start times 06:30–09:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2100
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Unit: GI/Bronchoscopy Procedures Clinic (4 procedure rooms, daily census 20–25)
- Parking: Permit required for onsite parking; alternative transportation options available
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience in Endoscopy/Procedure Nursing within the last 3 years (required)
- Recent hands-on experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures (ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy/Bronchoscopy)
- Experience in an Academic Level I Trauma Center or similar large hospital (required)
- Epic EHR/charting experience preferred (within last 12 months)
- Moderate sedation and PACU/Phase I & II recovery experience (GI RN / Endoscopy RN)
- Basic arrhythmia/telemetry competency (must pass telemetry test prior to start)
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact/multistate RN license in hand at submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (required)
- Prior travel nursing experience (preferred)
- Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing GI and bronchoscopy procedures, including moderation of sedation and recovery
- Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments, PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery care
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage airway and respond to patient changes as needed
- Administer medications and assist with procedural sedation per unit policies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical and endoscopy team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Document patient care and interventions in Epic EHR and maintain accurate procedure records
- Maintain a safe clinical environment and adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety protocols
