Job Details

• Location: Easton, MD 21601 (Eastern Shore of Maryland)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Role: Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology
• Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 rooms; daily case volume ~7–14 (interventional cardiology, diagnostic caths, device implants)
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 – 17:30) with one scheduled late shift weekly (10:00 – 20:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,540–$2,680/week
• On-Call: Required; must be within 30 minutes of facility when on call (~10–13 call shifts/month, including some weekends and holidays)
• Floating: May float to pre-op/PACU within specialty as needed

Job Requirements (Cath Lab RN Qualifications)

• Minimum 3 years recent Cardiac Cath Lab / interventional cardiology RN experience (Cath Lab RN preferred)
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state (Travel RN friendly)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• CPI certification (can be obtained onsite during orientation)
• Epic EMR/charting experience required
• Ability to take call and arrive within 30 minutes when scheduled
• Comfortable floating within unit/specialty (pre-op/PACU) as needed
• Two professional references (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred; community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travel RNs accepted with a strong Cath Lab background

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Assist with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), pacemaker/ICD insertion, loop monitor placement, transesophageal echo (TEE), and cardioversions
• Operate and monitor specialized Cath Lab equipment including balloon pumps, IVUS, and hemodynamic monitors
• Administer medications, monitor sedation, and manage patient safety throughout invasive procedures
• Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias during procedures
• Perform sheath removal, vascular closure, hemostasis techniques, and post-procedure patient assessments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response) to ensure high-quality cardiac care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic and follow Cath Lab protocols and safety standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent Cath Lab cases
