Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license (compact license may apply)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU / MICU experience (critical care RN, travel ICU experience a plus)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proven experience with ventilator management and titrating IV pressors (vasopressors)
• Ability to manage complex medication regimens for critically ill patients
• Willingness and ability to care for COVID-positive patients
• Strict 75-mile radius restriction applies

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing in the MICU for medically unstable and complex patients
• Manage ventilated patients and perform ventilator assessments and adjustments
• Monitor, titrate, and document IV pressors and other critical medications
• Deliver care to patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, hypertensive urgency, stroke (CVA), and respiratory failure
• Provide nursing care for COVID-positive patients and support units as needed (surgical or cardiac ICU coverage occasionally)
• Accurate and timely documentation using MEDITECH electronic charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists) to optimize patient outcomes
