- Shifts: Night Shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (Night Shift RN)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Compensation: Estimated weekly salary range of $1800-$1890/week
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid compact state license (RN license)
- BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
- Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience (ICU experience highly desired)
- Experience in Long-Term Acute Care, step-down, or critical care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans
- Provide skilled clinical care for complex LTAC patients, including ventilator management and wound care when applicable
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), providing direction and clinical support
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs with a focus on patient education, functional outcomes, and discharge planning
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission to support successful transitions of care
- Communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and patient safety
- Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to facility policies and safety protocols
- Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in unit team-building and quality improvement activities
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain clinical competency
