- Assignment Type: Travel
- Start Date: March 12, 2026
- End Date: April 9, 2026
- Duration: 4 weeks
- Shift: 8, 9, 10, or 12-hour day shifts as needed (Mon–Sun; no block scheduling)
- Average Hours per Week: 36–40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370–$2,500 per week
- On-site Position: Yes
- Saturday shifts required; no on-call
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of outpatient dialysis or hemodialysis nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required) — EMR documentation experience is essential
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
- Ability to float to St. Albans & Berlin locations as needed
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November to April
- All work history and employment gaps should be fully documented for compliance
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to chronic renal (ESRD) patients in an outpatient dialysis setting
- Administer and monitor hemodialysis treatments, including vascular access assessment and patient hemodynamic monitoring
- Perform pre- and post-dialysis assessments, medication administration, and patient education on dialysis care and fluid management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nephrology, technicians, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and timely using EPIC EMR
- Float to additional locations (St. Albans & Berlin) as required and maintain flexibility with scheduling
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and dialysis unit policies
