Experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift travel assignment in Dubuque, IA. 13-week ICU travel nurse role; EPIC, ACLS, and BLS required.
Job Details
- Location: Dubuque, IA 52001 (Dubuque, IA travel nursing opportunity)
- Role: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse / Critical Care Nurse (Travel Nurse)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
- Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Holiday Rotation: Yes
- On Call: None
- EMR: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience required)
- Scrub Colors: Dark Gray
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130 per week
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent ICU nursing experience; 24 months preferred (critical care nursing experience)
- Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license (Iowa nursing jobs eligibility)
- Previous completion of at least one travel contract in the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)
- Experience with EPIC EMR (required)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification (required)
- BLS (AHA or ARC) certification (required)
- NIH Stroke Scale certificate (highly preferred; can be obtained during onboarding)
- Experience with Philips patient monitoring equipment (highly preferred)
- Professional reference from a supervisor or nurse manager within the last 24 months (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients in a fast-paced intensive care unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy) to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and perform advanced life support interventions as indicated
- Operate and interpret data from bedside monitoring systems (Philips monitors preferred)
- Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and critical care protocols
