Job Details

• Location: Dubuque, IA 52001 (Dubuque, IA travel nursing opportunity)
• Role: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse / Critical Care Nurse (Travel Nurse)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 30, 2026 – June 29, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday Rotation: Yes
• On Call: None
• EMR: EPIC (EPIC EMR experience required)
• Scrub Colors: Dark Gray
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,020 - $2,130 per week

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent ICU nursing experience; 24 months preferred (critical care nursing experience)
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license (Iowa nursing jobs eligibility)
• Previous completion of at least one travel contract in the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)
• Experience with EPIC EMR (required)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification (required)
• BLS (AHA or ARC) certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate (highly preferred; can be obtained during onboarding)
• Experience with Philips patient monitoring equipment (highly preferred)
• Professional reference from a supervisor or nurse manager within the last 24 months (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (required)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients in a fast-paced intensive care unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and perform advanced life support interventions as indicated
• Operate and interpret data from bedside monitoring systems (Philips monitors preferred)
• Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and critical care protocols
