Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse – 12-hour nights in Albany, GA. 17-week travel assignment at a modern acute care hospital serving Southern Georgia—apply now for this travel nursing job opportunity!
Job Details
- Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Travel nursing job in Georgia)
- Assignment Length: 17 weeks (March 30, 2026 – July 27, 2026)
- Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit (floats to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW as needed)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (start time 6:45 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1890
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: Low census on-call rotation
- Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
- Charting System / EMR: MEDITECH (experience preferred)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia or compact state RN license
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience plus 1 prior travel assignment OR 4 years Med/Surg experience without travel
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ASLS or NIHSS Certification
- Ability to float to Ortho, Neuro, Oncology and other related units as needed
- Comfortable with flexible assignments and changing patient needs during a shift
- MEDITECH EMR experience preferred; strong clinical documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit as an Acute Care RN
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Float to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units per staffing needs
- Monitor and accurately document patient status using MEDITECH and other hospital systems
- Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules, including every-other-weekend coverage
- Demonstrate clinical flexibility, critical thinking, and strong communication in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety/quality standards
