Join our team as a Travel Labor & Delivery RN in Henderson, North Carolina — 13-week night assignment; must have ?2 years L&D experience, current BLS & NRP, and fetal monitoring certification.

Location: Henderson, North Carolina (27536) — Henderson, NC travel nurse opportunity
Assignment Type: Travel (13-week assignment)
Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D) — maternal newborn nursing / couplet care
Start Date: March 30, 2026
End Date: June 29, 2026
Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00), 36 hours/week
Weekend Requirement: 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Number of Beds: 16
Electronic Health Record: GE Centricity / Paragon

Qualifications & Certifications

Active RN license (as required for travel nurses in North Carolina)
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (L&D RN preferred)
Experience with couplet care, LDRP models, and some NICU exposure
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Fetal Monitoring certification — intermediate required; advanced preferred
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend staffing needs

Primary Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive maternal-newborn nursing care consistent with AWHONN guidelines
Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal vital signs; recognize and respond to changes quickly
Support couplet care and LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) patient cohorts
Collaborate with OB providers, neonatology, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe outcomes
Document care accurately in GE Centricity/Paragon EHR
Flex to other unit needs as census requires; may float to support documentation or unit tasks
