Job Details

• Location: Vicksburg, MS 39183 (Vicksburg, Mississippi)
• Position Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN — Emergency Department (ED) / ER
• Assignment Type: Travel (13 weeks)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 29, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,390 - $1,460 per week

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) / ER RN experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• CPI or SAMA (Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency and critical care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and ER protocols
• Administer medications, treatments, and life-saving interventions as ordered
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Respond effectively to trauma and emergency situations, following ACLS/PALS/TNCC standards
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience with high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Departments or Level I/II trauma centers
• Strong triage, critical thinking, and trauma assessment skills
• Familiarity with common ED equipment and emergency procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary clinical settings
