• Unit: 6 ORs & 2 Endoscopy Suites (perioperative setting)

Job Requirements (OR RN / Perioperative Nurse)

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state) — eligible for travel nursing in Texas
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room (OR) / perioperative nursing experience
• Experience with orthopedics, urology, gynecology, general surgery, robotics (XI), and endoscopy preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be able to take call (5–7 days/month)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to meet travel assignment eligibility
• Maximum 3 days of requested time off during the contract

Responsibilities (Operating Room Nurse / Surgical Nurse Duties)

• Circulate in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures as an OR RN / perioperative nurse
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal surgical patient care
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control and perioperative safety protocols
• Prepare operating rooms, assist with patient positioning, instrument setup, and equipment checks
• Document perioperative patient care accurately using paper charting
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment
