Job Details

• Location: Pittsfield, MA 01201 (Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Western Massachusetts)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
• Setting: Radiology Unit – Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Shift: 8-hour days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,850 - $3,000
• Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN / On-Site
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)

Travel RN Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Interventional Radiology (IR) / IR RN experience — experience in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) preferred
• Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Defibrillation certification
• IV skills proficiency and experience with vascular access (ports, central lines, hemodialysis catheters)
• CCU experience helpful for critical patient care in IR procedures
• Active Massachusetts RN license required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred (experience with EMR systems/clinical documentation)
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced interventional environment
• Attendance at all mandatory education required
• Must have own vehicle for commuting; travelers must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• Work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), and signed references (from past 2 years) required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide peri-procedural nursing care for interventional radiology procedures including angiograms, peripheral revascularization, carotid stenting, and vascular interventions
• Assist with placement and maintenance of hemodialysis catheters, central lines, and ports; manage vascular access and ensure integrity
• Manage nephrostomy drainage tubes, gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes, and provide care for drainage devices
• Perform and support paracentesis and thoracentesis procedures and provide pain management interventions
• Deliver pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery care for renal, liver, and lung biopsies
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and documentation during all IR procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, anesthesiology, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
