• Employment Type: Travel Contract – Travel RN / Travel Nurse assignment
• Start Date: April 17, 2026
• End Date: July 17, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), 3 shifts per week (Night Shift RN)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250

Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent experience in Neuro Stepdown, Cardiac Stepdown, PCU, or Telemetry (travel RN experience accepted)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or valid Compact RN license in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (active status required)
• One supervisory reference in the specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (telemetry/arrhythmia competency)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical or religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work at least every other holiday during the contract

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac/Neuro Stepdown unit (Progressive Care / PCU)
• Continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and early recognition of deterioration
• Manage complex cardiac and neurological patients, including post-op cardiac, heart failure, arrhythmia, and stroke-stepdown cases
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and per protocol (medication reconciliation and safeMedicate practices)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, neurology, respiratory therapy, case management) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient progress, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and neuro-stabilization as needed
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge instructions
