Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiac Cath Lab Tech) – Travel Assignment | New Port Richey, FL

Job Details

• Location: New Port Richey, FL 34655 (Pasco County, Tampa Bay)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 17, 2026 – June 16, 2026)
• Setting: Hospital – Cardiac Cath Lab (Interventional Cardiology)
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM during the week, 24 hours on weekends (Sat & Sun)
• Type: Travel, On-site (Cath Lab Tech, Travel Cath Lab Technologist)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,810 - $1,940 per week

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Cath Lab Tech or cardiovascular technologist in a cardiac cath lab
• Valid Cardiac Cath Lab Tech certification per facility/state requirements
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-focused skills
• Compliance with hospital scrub color policy (Lab: Khaki)
• BLS preferred (or facility-required) and familiarity with radiation safety and sterile technique

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and interventional cardiology teams during cardiac catheterization and other cath lab procedures
• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain cath lab equipment and monitors; ensure imaging and fluoroscopy systems are functioning
• Maintain sterile field, prepare procedural trays and supplies, and ensure adherence to infection control and radiation safety protocols
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures and communicate changes to the team
• Document procedures, supplies used, and maintain accurate patient and procedural records
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including evenings, nights, and weekends
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to deliver timely, high-quality cardiovascular care
