• Role: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN), Maternal Infant Unit
• Setting: Maternal Infant Unit (24 beds) — LDRP and high-volume labor & delivery
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Travel Assignment)
• Start Date: February 2, 2026
• End Date: May 4, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00), 36 hours/week
• Weekend/On-Call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs (MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,680–$1,770/week

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Active RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
• Minimum: 2 years recent labor & delivery experience (L&D RN experience in high birth-volume settings preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP required
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Experience with LDRP, maternal-infant care, and newborn/postpartum nursing
• Proficiency with GE fetal monitors and familiarity with Meditech/CPN EMR systems is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to laboring patients, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum mothers
• Monitor fetal status and interpret fetal heart tracings using AWHONN standards
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and immediate newborn care
• Deliver postpartum and newborn assessments, ensuring safety, breastfeeding support, and patient education
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OB providers, nursery nurses, OB techs, lactation consultants, and unit leadership
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR and uphold unit policies and quality/safety standards
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives
