• Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel RN opportunity)
• Unit: Cardiothoracic Stepdown – 25-bed unit (includes 2 dedicated stepdown beds, telemetry/stepdown unit)
• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• End Date: July 11, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days / Evenings / Nights), including weekends and holidays as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,110 - $2,220 per week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NY licenses only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (telemetry, stepdown, or cardiothoracic preferred)
• Recent telemetry experience required — Telemetry RN / Stepdown nurse skills
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Strong clinical skills with experience managing medical equipment, tubes, lines, and drains

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based nursing care to post-operative thoracic, foregut, plastics, and burn patients
• Monitor and manage patients requiring frequent observation in stepdown beds (telemetry monitoring and post-op care)
• Specialize in the management and nursing care of pulmonary hypertension patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, physical therapy) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Serve in charge nurse, preceptor, and committee roles as needed
• Demonstrate service excellence, professional development, and adherence to established standards and protocols under the Nurse Manager's direction
