Occupational Therapist (OT) – Home Health travel assignment in Walla Walla, WA. 13-week Travel OT position starting March 23, 2026; active Washington OT license required. Join our interdisciplinary home health team delivering skilled occupational therapy across Walla Walla County and surrounding areas.
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,490 - $2,670 per week (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Details
- Location: Walla Walla, WA (99362) and surrounding counties — lower Columbia County, Umatilla County (up to 60 miles)
- Position: Home Health Occupational Therapist / Travel OT (13-week assignment)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Setting: Home Health — skilled nursing and rehabilitation in patient homes
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Washington (WA) required; ability to obtain Oregon (OR) license (may start with WA while obtaining OR)
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health OT experience within the past 3 years (Home Health Occupational Therapist preferred)
- Familiarity with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within assigned territory
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient-centered rehabilitation skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients in their homes across Walla Walla County, lower Columbia County, and into Umatilla County
- Perform evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote independence and functional outcomes
- Document patient care, progress, and outcomes in HCHB EMR (or facility-specific EMR) following Home Health regulations
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe transfers, adaptive equipment, home modification recommendations, and energy conservation techniques
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary home health team, participate in team meetings, and communicate effectively with managers and case coordinators
