Job Details

• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 (Atlanta respiratory therapist jobs, Georgia healthcare)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Hospital – Respiratory Care / Diagnostic Services (hospital respiratory care, clinical respiratory therapy)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Friday / Saturday / Sunday
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1300-$1400
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist (travel RRT, travel respiratory therapy)

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to start on 4/6/2026 and complete the full 13-week assignment
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles outside of Atlanta, GA

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and diagnostic services to inpatients in a hospital environment
• Perform ventilator management and mechanical ventilation support, including initiation, adjustments, and weaning per protocol
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and non-invasive ventilation (CPAP/BiPAP) as indicated
• Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and other pulmonary function data to guide therapy
• Assess, plan, implement, and document respiratory therapy interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment following safety and infection-control protocols
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning and education
