About the Role

Provide advanced neonatal care on the night shift in a Level III NICU serving West Chester, PA (Chester County, Philadelphia suburbs). This night shift neonatal nursing job focuses on ventilator and CPAP management, UVC care, and developmental support for infants as early as 22 weeks gestation.

Job Details

• Location: West Chester, PA 19380 (Chester County; near Philadelphia)
• Setting: Level III NICU / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Position: NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
• Shifts per Week: 3-4
• Shift Length: 12-hour nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (or more if desired)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 2, 2026
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call: None (standby process may apply if census decreases)

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,300 - $2,400

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: BSN required
• Certification: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of Level III NICU / neonatal critical care experience
• Strong clinical skills in neonatal assessment, ventilator and CPAP management, and UVC line care
• Positive attitude, initiative, dependability, flexibility, empathy, and ability to accept and act on feedback

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Level III neonatal care including CPAP, ventilator management, and UVC line maintenance
• Provide stabilization and immediate newborn care; support labor and delivery teams during births as needed
• Provide developmental care for neonates, including extremely preterm infants (from ~22 weeks gestation)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary neonatal team: physicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, nutritionists, speech therapists, and social workers
• Adapt to census changes and potential reassignment to Pediatrics or Maternity (baby care only) when necessary
