Job Details

• Location: Madison, WI 53715 (Madison, Wisconsin, Dane County)
• Position: Travel Inpatient Pharmacist / Hospital Pharmacist
• Assignment Type: Travel, On-Site
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: March 30, 2026 — End: June 29, 2026)
• Schedule: 5x8-hour rotating shifts (Day: 06:30–15:00, Mid: 14:30–23:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend required
• Uniform: Scrubs provided
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,490–$2,670

Qualifications & Requirements

• PharmD or RPh required (Pharmacist license)
• Minimum 2 years recent inpatient / acute care pharmacy experience
• Active Wisconsin pharmacist license required (Act 10 accepted; applicants must apply for temporary and permanent licensure)
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
• BLS certification preferred
• Travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Must be able to shave for mask fit testing (no exceptions)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Locals within 70 miles are not eligible

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care across the lifespan (neonates, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics) as an inpatient pharmacist
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing adjustments, and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Manage pharmacotherapy for a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions in the hospital setting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams (physicians, nurses, and allied health) to optimize patient outcomes and medication safety
• Address and manage drug shortages, ensuring safe and effective medication use
• Document care and interventions accurately using Epic EHR
• Participate in scheduled weekend coverage (every third weekend)
• Comply with hospital policies, including respiratory fit testing and PPE requirements
