- Location: Zanesville, OH 43701 (Zanesville, Ohio oncology jobs)
- Setting: Oncology Unit – infusion/chemotherapy care and general oncology nursing
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse opportunity)
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 6, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day Shift)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $2010 per week
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
- At least 1 year of nursing experience; oncology nursing or infusion experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Chemotherapy/infusion certification or prior chemotherapy administration experience is a plus
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Plan, provide, and supervise nursing care for oncology patients with compassion and clinical excellence
- Administer and monitor oncology treatments, including IV therapies and chemotherapy per facility policy (if applicable)
- Coordinate care planning and communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other departments
- Adhere to universal precautions and facility infection control policies
- Accurately and timely document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Provide patient and family education, symptom management, and psychosocial support for cancer patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow safety protocols for oncology nursing
