• Location: Zanesville, OH 43701 (Zanesville, Ohio oncology jobs)
• Setting: Oncology Unit – infusion/chemotherapy care and general oncology nursing
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse opportunity)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day Shift)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $2010 per week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license (compact license accepted where applicable)
• At least 1 year of nursing experience; oncology nursing or infusion experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy/infusion certification or prior chemotherapy administration experience is a plus
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and supervise nursing care for oncology patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Administer and monitor oncology treatments, including IV therapies and chemotherapy per facility policy (if applicable)
• Coordinate care planning and communicate effectively with physicians, pharmacists, and other departments
• Adhere to universal precautions and facility infection control policies
• Accurately and timely document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Provide patient and family education, symptom management, and psychosocial support for cancer patients
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow safety protocols for oncology nursing
