Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with active Ohio respiratory therapist license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience (acute care, med-surg, or critical care experience preferred)
• Ability to meet physical demands including frequent standing, walking, lifting, and direct patient care
• Completion of required onboarding health screenings and background checks

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy and cardiopulmonary care with minimal supervision
• Manage mechanical ventilation and monitor ventilated patients, including ventilator weaning and troubleshooting
• Perform airway management, med-aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, and humidity therapy
• Assist with special procedures such as CPR, bronchoscopy support, and safe patient transport
• Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and responses to therapy in the medical record
• Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection control standards
• Protect patient privacy and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Participate in department orientation, competency validation, and ongoing training
• Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership
