Job Details
- Location: Waterloo, NY 13165 (Waterloo, Finger Lakes, New York)
- Assignment Duration: 15 weeks (March 31, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel, Part-Time (Travel LPN / Part-time LPN)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1450-$1520
- Shift: Part time Day and Evening shifts, scheduled as needed by facility (generally 2x8s/3x8s); every other weekend and holiday required
- Hours per Week: Up to 40
- Number of Openings: 5
Job Requirements
- Active NY LPN Licensure (New York LPN license required)
- BLS Certification (AHA or RQI)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an LPN in a Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Experience providing care to adult and geriatric populations (geriatric nursing)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Collect and communicate data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions
- Contribute to age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans, collaborating with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Recommend revisions to care plans and facilitate referrals as needed
- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice through continuing education and in-service programs
- Participate in mentoring and orientation of new staff
- Provide leadership in the professional practice setting under the direction of an RN
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and adhere to safety protocols regarding occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Perform direct resident care as appropriate, including medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), basic wound care, and accurate documentation
